Apple has just announced its fifth iteration with the new 200 features in iOS 5, which is supposed to grace the Apple's devices this fall include iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, and 3rd and 4th generations of iPod Touch. Some of them are long overdue like the notification Center that has taken Android approach but many more bring a big surprise to the users. One of the biggest surprise might be the omission of Facebook in order to provide more space to Twitter as the dominant social media platform within in OS.

However, what are the updates of iOS 5 compared with iOS 4 that are considerably significant?

HTC Cha Cha Gets an Upgrade To 800MHz Processor

It is good news for those who plan to pick up the HTC Cha Cha since the device would get a processor upgrade to 800MHz from 600MHz. It is an extra gifts from HTC to make the Cha Cha more powerful and faster although the previous 600MHz might be sufficient.



As already known that the HTC Cha Cha is mainly Facebook focused with with a dedicated Facebook button to easily share content while on the go. Other features include a 2.6-inch screen display with resolution of 480 x 320 pixel, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth. Besides, the handset is powered by Single core, Qualcomm MSM7227, 800 MHz and 512MB RAM.

Release Date: The HTC Cha Cha will ship on June 6th with a price of $339 plus VAT if purchased off-contract, according to retailer Clove or only a penny if you go with a carrier contract.

Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung 4G Tablet Coming in 2012

It can be denied that the Samsung Galaxy S III received good response from the customers along with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9-inch and 10.1-inch. So, Samsung plan to release their iterations that were scheduled to be out in the first half of 2011.

Samsung just broke records in Asia by selling the Samsung Galaxy S II over a million in South Korea within a month and 120,000 of them were sold out within three days. People said that it is reasonable as South Korea is home base of Samsung, though.

However, the president of Samsung's Mobile division, J.K. Shin, said to expect that a 4G version of the Samsung Tablet to be rolled out later this year after the launch of the 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch tabs in June. He stated that the 4G network is a must for tablets because there are more contents searched from tablet need fast internet connectivity.

Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to release in the first half of 2011
Samsung Tab 4G is expected to be out in the first half or even hits store shelves this year.

iPad 3 With 4G LTE Network Be Released For Holiday Season

After releasing iPad and iPad 2 that have gained the majority of tablet market, Apple plans to roll out the new iPad 3 with 4G LTE network support for the holiday season. RGB reported that the iPad 3 will ships with a Retina Display that provides more brightness and contrast.

CLSA, Hong Kong-based research firm, stated "While most vendors appear fixated on matching the specs and features of iPad2, our checks suggest Apple will release iPad3 in time for the holiday season, sporting a better display and LTE capabilities,”



Unfortunately there is no details of the specs and price tag unveiled yet.

Samsung Exhibit 4G vs Samsung Gravity Smart

T-Mobile and Samsung have announced that they will release a pair of budget-friendly phones, the Samsung Gravity Smart and the Samsung Exibit 4G in June 22nd.


The Samsung Exhibit 4G that is priced more expensive at $79.99 after $50 mail-in-rebate (after 2 year contracts) will sports a 1GHz processor under the hood and a larger 3.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixel. Based on its name, the device also provides 4G for transfer data (HSPA+ connectivity with theoretical peak download speeds of up to 21Mbps). Althugh the Exhibit 4G only runs on Andrid 2.2 Froyo instead of Gingerbread, bt so far, it no lag or pause when running the apps.

Other notable features of the Exhibit include a 3-megaixel camera and a VGA front-facing camera as well as the Samsung Hub and T-Mobile TV that allow the users to rent or purchase movies and watching on television.

The next is the Samsung Gravity Smart. It is more affordable phone (save $10) that comes with lower specs compared with the Samsung Exhibit. It is priced at $69.99 after $50 mail-in-rebate and 2-year contract. On the front, there is a 3.2-inch screen display that is coupled with slide-out qwerty keyboard and Swype technology. For the OS, it hold the same as the Exhibit 4G that run on Android 2.2 Foryo.

Which one do you prefer?

The Samsung Exhibit 4G, inevitably, is provides better specs than the Gravity Smart but the latter is more affordable and has a physical qwerty keyboard for easy writing. If you are looking for an affordable phone that has a sharp displsy and provide a decent internet connectivity, you might pick up the Exhibit 4G.
