T-Mobile and Samsung have announced that they will release a pair of budget-friendly phones, the Samsung Gravity Smart and the Samsung Exibit 4G in June 22nd.
The Samsung Exhibit 4G that is priced more expensive at $79.99 after $50 mail-in-rebate (after 2 year contracts) will sports a 1GHz processor under the hood and a larger 3.7-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixel. Based on its name, the device also provides 4G for transfer data (HSPA+ connectivity with theoretical peak download speeds of up to 21Mbps). Althugh the Exhibit 4G only runs on Andrid 2.2 Froyo instead of Gingerbread, bt so far, it no lag or pause when running the apps.
Other notable features of the Exhibit include a 3-megaixel camera and a VGA front-facing camera as well as the Samsung Hub and T-Mobile TV that allow the users to rent or purchase movies and watching on television.
The next is the Samsung Gravity Smart. It is more affordable phone (save $10) that comes with lower specs compared with the Samsung Exhibit. It is priced at $69.99 after $50 mail-in-rebate and 2-year contract. On the front, there is a 3.2-inch screen display that is coupled with slide-out qwerty keyboard and Swype technology. For the OS, it hold the same as the Exhibit 4G that run on Android 2.2 Foryo.
Which one do you prefer?
The Samsung Exhibit 4G, inevitably, is provides better specs than the Gravity Smart but the latter is more affordable and has a physical qwerty keyboard for easy writing. If you are looking for an affordable phone that has a sharp displsy and provide a decent internet connectivity, you might pick up the Exhibit 4G.
